Kaiser opened the Cape Town office in 1997. Our aim was to help South Africa's then globally isolated companies improve their competitiveness and adopt the best practices of leading corporations around the world. As South Africa entered the global marketplace, our clients benefited from a fuller range of Kaiser's Corporate Strategy services. Over the years, we have advised South African companies across a variety of industries, including financial services, FMCG, manufacturing, and communications. We have helped several parastatal organizations prepare for and implement privatization. Our Economic Development Practice is an extremely important part of our Cape Town office. The objective of our Economic Development Practice is to enhance economic and social development in the Southern African region, in particular employment creation, small business development, black economic empowerment, export growth, and government capacity building. Since the high profile support of the South African floriculture, jewelry and ICT/electronics sectors, and the development of the "Proudly South African" campaign, Kaiser Associates has become a preferred strategic partner of South African government and industry for economic development projects.
