Capitalizing on a wealth of internal knowledge, development opportunities at Kaiser offer the support necessary for our consultants to accelerate their growth

Kaiser provides motivated, entrepreneurial individuals the tools necessary to grow quickly and drive their own career in a culture that is committed to accelerating development. With the support of formal and informal development programs, our consultants are routinely able to take on more responsibility more quickly than their peers at other firms.

Onboarding
Development starts on day one at Kaiser. Our industry-leading onboarding program, developed through research conducted by our Organization Development team, affords new hires three months of resources, mentorship, and seminars developed to ease their transition into Kaiser and ensure future success.

Early Responsibility
Kaiser consultants play a significant role on engagement teams at every level. By removing artificial barriers to promotion and advancement, Kaiser consultants take on more responsibility and progress through the ranks much more quickly than their peers at comparable firms. Guided by hands-on mentorship from our senior leadership, every level at Kaiser has significant ownership of impactful work and client relationships, offering continuous challenges with the support necessary to find success.

Diverse Experiences
No two days are the same when you’re a consultant at Kaiser. As an Analyst or Consultant, you’ll work as a generalist across our nine practice areas to build a diverse skill set quickly through exposure to different industries, functions, and project types. As a senior consultant, you’ll have considerable control over the opportunities you pursue as well as the day-to-day operations of your team.

Continuous Feedback
Kaiser conducts robust formal performance reviews semi-annually that incorporate 360-degree feedback. Analysts also receive a review after every engagement, allowing for recognition of high achievers and ensuring they are continuing to develop the most pertinent skills to assist our clients.

Mentorship
Every Kaiserite is assigned a formal mentor for the duration of their time at the firm. Your mentor serves as a resource for your questions, sounding board, and a guide for your career development. As you grow, you’ll have the opportunity to serve as a mentor and pass your knowledge on to more junior team members. We also offer unparalleled opportunities to build relationships with and learn from senior leaders, with firm partners operating an open door policy and working side-by-side with junior team members on a daily basis.

Ongoing Development
Our team members have access to a curated selection of internally developed and external training courses and tools throughout their time at Kaiser. Because Kaiser is invested in the ongoing development of our employees, we hold monthly “First Friday” training sessions that cover topics applicable to all levels.

To support our top-performing consultants, Kaiser offers the opportunity for sponsorship for those seeking additional educational development at top MBA programs.

International Exposure
Kaiser consultants come from a variety of diverse backgrounds, which ensures we continue to create innovative solutions for our global clients.

Our international offices partner closely, allowing consultants to work shoulder-to-shoulder with Kaiser colleagues across the globe. In addition to project-specific international travel opportunities, our Staff Exchange Program affords high-performing DC-based consultants the opportunity to spend a year in our London office.
